The activity involves:
Experience for 2 people: driver and passenger.
an initial briefing, paperwork, handing out of safety gear and a first practice run for drivers inside the Ranch to get comfortable with the quad. From the Ranch we set off to discover several sites, including some of the most scenic spots on the south-east coast: we will admire the beach of S’Acqua e Sa Canna and Torre Canai and its bay from an unusual angle, then head inland through the archaeological site of Corongiu Murvonis up to the headland overlooking the bay of Cala Lunga, where you can enjoy breathtaking views, sunsets and unforgettable scenery. Finally we make our way back to the Ranch via the beach of Cala Sapone.

Our tours are designed to reveal the island’s most hidden and hard-to-reach corners. For this reason the routes are mixed, sometimes following dirt tracks and unpaved, municipal and provincial roads, always with full respect for the environment and current regulations; off-road driving is therefore not permitted.

A full car driving licence (category B)
Passengers must be at least 6 years old
Recommended clothing: long trousers, hiking boots, riding boots or closed shoes, sunglasses and a bandana, a bum bag, and a jacket in case of bad weather

About the horseback ride:
Immerse yourself in the ancient history and natural beauty of the island of Sant'Antioco on our exclusive horseback ride along the cliffs of Is Praneddas, home to the striking cove of the “Arco dei Baci” (the Kissing Arch) and its natural pool.
You will ride a stretch of the bridle path of the Santa Barbara Mining Trail, a unique journey through fascinating places between the sea, the hills and ancient archaeological sites.
Before leaving Carolina Ranch, which lies right on the official route of the bridle path and a stone’s throw from the Arco dei Baci, we will take a practice ride with our experienced guides. Once you feel at ease with your horse, we will head towards one of the most unspoilt stretches of coastline on the island to see the cave of Su Portu e Su Trigu, following the path that leads to the Arco dei Baci and the Is Praneddas totem, before climbing back up the headland that takes us home to the Ranch.
The ride winds along a coastal path with breathtaking views over the crystal-clear sea of the west coast, full of unique scents and colours and spectacular scenery, where you can take in the sea, the sun and unspoilt nature in all their grandeur, with unforgettable sunsets and views.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, our ride is designed to give you a safe and accessible experience, with horses trained to walk for your comfort and safety.
